Shin Dance Academy / Temple City Dance & Music

"Shin Dance" was founded by Ms. Shin Wang in the summer of 1995. By November 2001, Ms. Wang and her husband Oscar Bustamante opened "Shin Dance Academy" in Temple City, California. Teacher Wang takes the same approach to dance that was proven effective with university students and adapted that professional, systematic teaching style for American dancers. Shin has generated scores of dancers with strong technical foundations and outstanding stage presence, which has elevated the art of Chinese cultural dance in America.

Temple City Dance & Music is being introduced this summer to serve the community of Temple City and surrounding areas. The purpose was to create an atmosphere of creativity and artistic expression for everyone, from children to seniors. We strive to meet the needs of our students by building the kind of space that is safe, educational, inspiring, and nurturing. We pride ourselves in choosing a location that is local and easily accessible, making it possible for all those in our surrounding area to strengthen their minds and bodies.

Our Goals

Shin Dance Academy / Temple City Dance & Music, is a dance studio that services the San Gabriel Valley. One of our missions here at Shin Dance is to expose our dancers and audience members to the beauty of Chinese cultural dance. That vision is accompanied by our determination to see all our dancers grow and receive the best possible dance education. We also offer classes such as Ballet (the fundamentals of dance), Hip-Hop, Modern, Jazz and Yoga to create well-balanced dancers. While demanding excellence from all of our dancers, we create a nurturing atmosphere for all those who have a passion for the arts, and for those who love to dance.
